Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) suspension has been trailed by diverse reactions from Nigerians.

The Edo State APC was reported to have suspended Oshiomhole on Tuesday.

Anselm Ojezua, the State chairman, who made this known in a statement on Tuesday night said Oshiomhole‘s suspension followed the vote of no confidence passed on him by the chairmen of the APC in the 18 local government areas (LGAs) of the state.

Fani-Kayode makes claim on VP’s ‘replacement’

Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Nigeria former Minister of Aviation, has claimed that some names have been penciled down as alternatives to replace the embattled Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

This was contained in an article he released Wednesday morning titled ‘ The humiliation of the villa fiend’.

The former presidential spokesman said Nigerians should not pity Osinbajo, noting that the Law Professor knew what he was getting into before he became President Muhammadu Buhari’s deputy.

Border closure: ECOWAS countries reject Nigerian goods

Notwithstanding the revenue increase the Nigerian Customs Service, NCS, said it has achieved with the on-going partial border closure, exporters are counting their losses as countries within the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, sub-region have started rejecting Nigerian cargoes, apparently, as a form of retaliation against the land border closure.

Stop this display of naked power, release Sowore, Soyinka tells Nigerian govt

The Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has called on the Federal Government to release the co-convener of the #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore and save the country from further embarrassment in the international community.

“Enough of this charade, nothing more than a display of crude, naked power,” he said in his reaction to the Department of State Security (DSS) refusal to honour the court order on Sowore’s release and the attack on protesters demanding for his release on Tuesday.
