APC speaks on Petition against Bola Tinubu Over Bullion Vans

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has spoken on the petition submitted to the anti graft agemcy, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

A group led by Deji Adeyanju, known as concerned Nigerians, submitted a petition to the EFCC asking it to probe the bullion vans sighted in the residence of the APC leader on the eve of the 2019 elections.

The petition which is reportedly dated October 25 was signed by Adeyanju on behalf of concerned Nigerians and two other activists – Ariyo Dare Atoye and Adebayo Raphael.

Supreme Court makes decision on Atiku vs Buhari fresh suit

A fresh suit filed by the Hope Democratic Party (HDP) and it’s presidential candidate, Ambrose Owuru, challenging the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari as winner of the Feb. 23 presidential election, was on Monday struck out by the Supreme Court.

The apex court however bowed to hear the appeal afresh following protest by the party that the court’s earlier decision which dismissed the appeal was based on technicality rather than on merits of law.

The Supreme Court struck out the appeal following the dramatic withdrawal of an application praying for restoration of the appeal to be heard afresh.
