Femi Otedola set to take over singer Majek Fashek medical bills

Nigerian veteran reggae singer, Majek Fashek, has been down with an undisclosed sickness according to his manager.

The health of veteran Nigerian singer, Majek Fashek, has been a cause for concern as it seems as if it continues to lapse despite the goodwill he has received from Nigerians.

Recently, Majek’s management revealed that the singer is seriously down with an unnamed sickness at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in England. They have also sought the help of Nigerians to take care of his bills.

Well, it has been gathered that billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, has decided to pay the singer’s medical bills.

Recall that Otedola is no stranger to philanthropic acts as he also paid the medical bills of ailing actors, Victor Olaotan, Sadiq Daba, in the past.

Speaking with Premium Times, Majek’s manager, Uzoma Omenka, explained that they are really grateful for the help but they still need the contributions of Nigerians to foot the singer’s other bills.

He said: “We really appreciate him for coming through and taking care of the hospital bills. It is a huge relief and we are grateful. We however still need more support from well-meaning Nigerians to take care of other expenses.” Omenka did not reveal the nature of the singer’s illness but he explained that a lot had already been spent on his feeding, transportation and other necessities.
