Senator Aliyu Wamakko, the Chairman of the Northern Senators Forum, has declared that the recent Supreme Court judgement on the 2019 elections in Zamfara State was a divine trial from Allah.
The Supreme Court had voided all votes cast for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the just-concluded elections in Zamfara State.
However, Wamakko declared that the apex court’s verdict should be seen as a test from Allah.
He made this remark when he led a delegation on a solidarity visit to the former Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, in Gusau, as was contained in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Bashir Rabe Mani, Daily Post reports.

Wamakko stated that both Zamfara and Sokoto States were one and the same family, stressing that “whatever affects one, directly affects the other.”According to him: “It is however, a trial from the Almighty Allah and we will In sha Allahu, pass this divine test.
“This is a brotherly visit to commiserate with you and the entire leadership, as well as the membership of APC in the state.
“Posterity and history would continue to remember the former Governor of Zamfara State for colossally transforming the entire state, as he had executed myriad of developmental projects.”
