| Gospel singer Lanre Teriba says Americans see Wizkid as an upcoming artiste |
Speaking at the interview, Lanre Teriba who disclosed that he travels a lot, stated that Nigerian artistes are still seen as local musicians in the lens of foreigners alongside Wizkid who they see as an upcoming artiste. He said;
I travel a lot and I can tell you that Nigerian artistes are still seen as local musicians in the lens of foreigners. Even Wizkid is seen as an upcoming artiste. I go on tour every year, I will be in America from May to July this year, but we, Gospel artistes have a problem with the media. They are not supporting us or mentioning us at all. At the moment, I’m trying to do something with Kirk Franklin.
On his new album, he said;
I’ve been singing for the past 21 years. Now, each time I’m about to release a new album, I do a tour for it and I’m embarking on another one next month.
