JUST IN: Kano Governorship Election Finally Declareed Inconclusive By INEC

Nigeria's electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Kano governorship election inconclusive.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the state, Riskuwa Shehu, has declared the election inconclusive due to high number of cancelled votes compared to margin between APC and PDP candidate.

Shehu, therefore ordered for a rerun in areas where elections were cancelled in different parts of the State, Daily Post reports.

PDP polled a total of 1,014,353 votes ahead of the APC which secured 953,522 votes in the governorship election of the state.

Total margin between both APC and PDP candidate was 26,000 while Total votes cancelled: 141,694
