I’m not Kevin Hart – Rapper YCEE replies troll who tried to make him buy a pencil sketch By NellyBillz |
As reported, the young boy had taken to posing a hyper-realistic painting of the international comedian across his social media platforms.
Well, the news caused massive reactions on the social media platforms as many people were excited at the fact that the American celeb recognized the artist.
This appeared to have encouraged other artist to try their luck with other celebs as well. An artist identified as @austinelkhasy made a pencil sketch of Nigerian rapper, Ycee. While trying to get the rapper’s attention, another user, @Iam_KingBuchi tried to guilt trip the rapper into buying the artwork.
Ycee simply responded, saying he wasn’t the American celeb, Kevin Hart, therefore implying the baiting wouldn’t work on him.
His response however, did not sit well with many people who considered his response rude and insensitive. Many stated that the least he could have done was appreciate the artist for his work.
This led the rapper to put up another post, explaining himself.
He wrote:
“To quickly shed light. A lot of people said very demeaning things about me when @austinelkhasy decided to post the drawing. This reply was in no way directed at him. Whoever posted the pic to make it seem that way it’s all good. You believe what you want last last”
Twitter users felt YCee‘s comment was inappropriate and they called him out.
But the artist tweeted, asking people to stop calling out YCee.
He wrote:
“@iam_YCEE is not the richest musician there is nor is he the poorest. I chose to sketch him because I’m his biggest fan. For the fact that he retweeted it is a win for me… Pls stop with all the belittling! Thanks.”
