Bisi Alimi claps back at troll who wished he was in the Ethiopian Airlines plane crash

Following the tragic deaths of 157 people who were passengers on the ill-fated Ethiopian Airlines’s plane crash, many people have taken to social media to mourn. However, some seem to be making a mockery of the sad event.

A young man identified as Temitope JohnSaw, wished Bisi and his husband were on the plane that crashed therefore implying he wished them death.

Responding to the troll, Bisi Alimi wrote:

“Hate is too much a burden to bear”- MLK. It is not so much that someone wishes another death because they love differently from them, but it is about using their hate to mock the dead. Just while the families of the dead are mourning, this man uses the situation to wish us dead. I repeat; hate is too much a burden to bear.”

While it is not out of place for the openly gay Nigerian and gay rights activist to lambastes critics, it appears he chose to be the bigger person and not stop to the level of trolls.
