Energizer |
The company unveiled the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop at Mobile World Congress (MWC2019) this week, a phone with an 18,000mAh battery. It’s not Energizer’s first phone, but it has already made a name for itself as the phone with the biggest battery in the world.
This dark blue monstrosity is 18mm thick, almost as thick as 3.5 iPhones, and was designed to last a “very long time”. It’s not just thick though, It has been described as remarkably heavy for a phone. Testers at MWC2019 took note of its heft, obviously attributed to the massive battery, a massive battery that guarantees 48 hours of power between charges. That’s on continuous video playback, so it will probably last a lot longer when not being pushed to its limits.
Apart from its size, the Power Max P18K Pop is actually pretty standard in terms of smartphone specs. It has a 6.2-inch LCD display, a USB-C port on the bottom, a pop-up module with two selfie cameras in the front, and three more cameras on the back. It also has 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and runs on Android Pie. The novelty of its size might actually be the only thing in its way of becoming a popular smartphone choice.
The Energizer Power Max P18K Pop will be officially released later this year. Estimates put it around June – August.
