What Can N10,000 Do For Traders? - Ayorinde, SDP Guber Candidate, Slams Buhari Over Trader Moni Scheme

Chief Bolaji Ayorinde (SAN)
Chief Bolaji Ayorinde (SAN), Governorship candidate of an opposition party, the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in Oyo State, on Friday condemned the Federal Government of Nigeria over the introduction of the trader moni scheme.

Chief Ayorinde, while addressing newsmen in Igangan town, one of the towns in Oke-Ogun geo-political zone of the state shortly after the flag off of the party campaign, declared that the ten thousand naira given to traders across the country was not enough to take care of the traders’ needs.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, while addressing thousands of supporters of the party and residents of the town, promised that his party has a better plan for artisans and traders in the state compared to the trader moni scheme introduced by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The SDP gubernatorial candidate said, “Ten thousand naira cannot do anything for traders.

“We will set up cooperative structures that can actually solve the problems of traders.

“The structure has been tested and trusted all over the world.”

He maintained that he was sad that the education sector in the state is nothing to write home about.

He said “Twenty per cent of the budget will be on education.

“We will have three commissioners for education. One for primary school education, another for secondary school education and the third for tertiary education.

Ayorinde admonished the people of the state to stand against vote selling and buying.

He added that, “Hold your PVC and sell it to no one. Do not sell your votes and your future. We will not permit vote rigging.”
