John Legend confesses to a Nigerian lady that his lyrics are all lies

John Legend has confessed to a Nigerian lady that his lyrics in the song “All of me” are all lies. The RnB singer had tweeted that he can’t swim and he’s just having his first swimming lessons since he was 5 which made the lady to chip in.


 John Legend wrote:

“I can’t really swim. Today I took my first swim lesson since I was like 5. My dad learned in his 60’s so I feel like I’m ahead of schedule.”

After the tweet went viral, the Nigerian lady identified as Oreoluwa Babatope asked the singer to clarify his lyrics in the song “All of me” where he said “my head’s under water but I’m breathing fine”.

She wrote:

“So what happened when your head was under water? Did you breathe fine? Was it all a lie?!”

John Legend replied:

“All. Lies. Hahaha”
