Sex tapes of celebrities aren't really popular in Nigeria so when a celeb's tape gets leaked then it becomes a big deal. March 2018, an Instagram account owned by an individual named Eze Kevin shared a screenshot of an alleged WhatsApp chat between the C.E.O. of Eric Many Entertainment, Okwudili Umenyiora and himself.
The chat makes mention of a sex tape featuring Eric Many act Runtown. The Eze Kevin went on to release a clip of the sex tape on his Instagram account, although Runtown's face couldn't be identified in it.
It would be recalled that prior to the sex tape leak, Runtown had fallen out of favour with his record label, hence the drama about who actually released the said sex tape. However, Okwudili Umenyiora came out to deny it's involvement in the alleged sex tape.
2. Small Doctor threatening to shoot a police officer
Just when we thought December would be devoid of controversial moments, Small Doctor proved everyone wrong. The music star was arrested by men of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly threatening a police officer with a gun. According to the commissioner of police in Lagos state, Edgal Imohimi, the singer and his crew (numbering four) had threatened to shoot a police officer at a traffic point at the ever-busy Oshodi expressway.
In a video released on social media, Small Doctor was seen been disarmed by fully armed men of the Nigeria Police Force. According to the police commissioner, Small Doctor and his gang will be charged for threatening violence on policemen and being in possession of forearm.
3.Mercy Aigbe and her famous red dress
Mercy Aigbe turned 40 in 2018 and decided to have a very beautiful birthday party, which she eventually did. Prior to the birthday party, she shared some pre-birthday photos on her Instagram page. Not many were expecting what was going to happen next as a certain lady accused the actress of using her red dress for the photo shoot. According to her, she had paid a designer to make the red dress for her but didn't get the dress when she needed it.
The alleged original owner of the red dress claimed he was surprised when she saw Mercy Aigbe wearing the same dress on her Instagram page. Mercy Aigbe later called out the said designer for embarrassing her. Another controversial moment for Mercy Aigbe in 2018 was when she came out to debunk the claims that her mansion was actually acquired for her by a sugar daddy.
4. Between Wizkid and baby mama, Shola Ogudu
Two of Wizkid's baby mamas, Binta Diallo and Shola Ogudu spent the better part of 2018 calling him out. But one major controversial moment was when Shola Ogudu decided to get really messy with the details of her frosty relationship with the music star.
In September 2018, Shola Ogudu literally woke everyone up to a long thread of how she had been maltreated by Wizkid. In her long Instagram posts, she shared screenshots of conversations she had with Wizkid which according to her was to debunk the claims that she was after his money only.
One shocking revelation made by Shola Ogudu in her social media rants was the fact that her son might have been exposed to things he wasn't supposed to see. She gave an example of the time Wizkid allegedly made their son touch the boobs and ass of the women in his house because he wanted to be sure about his sexuality.
