The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has reiterated their stand on the ongoing strike, and said it would not call off the strike until the Federal Government yield to its demand.
Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, the President of ASUU, stated this on Sunday in Lagos while briefing newsmen on the update of the about two-month-old ongoing industrial action of the Union.
He said the federal government had not shown reasonable commitment so far to resolve the impasse.
According to him, ASUU strike shouldn’t be a threat to the 2019 elections and therefore, the strike should not be politicized in any way.
