JUST IN: President Buhari Meets With Four PDP Governors Inside Aso Villa

Buhari meets with four PDP South South Governors(From left - Dickson, Udom Okowa and Wike

The Commander in Chief, Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, Tuesday met behind closed doors with four state governors  on the platform of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.

The four governors are from the South South region of the country.

Those in attendance were: Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State; Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State; Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.

Buhari met with them at the Presidential Villa, Abuja shortly after his return from his condolence visit to Kaduna State.

Speaking to State House Correspondents after the meeting which started at about 2:50 p.m., Governor Dickson, who refused to give details of the meeting, said discussions were centred on issues concerning the South South region.

“My colleagues and I came to have audience with the President to discuss issues pertinent to our country and pertinent to our respective states,” the governor said.

“We had a robust and fruitful discussion with the President and he promised to look into it in anyway possible.”

Gov. Dickson when asked what was the details of the meeting, simply said: “We don’t want to go into those details.”
