Akpabio Drenched As He Refuses To Use Umbrella During APC Rally Under Heavy Downpour

Former Senate minority leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio representing Akwa Ibom North-West, who dumped his former party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives’ Congress (APC), was drenched by a heavy downpour at a rally held yesterday in Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District.

The rally which was put together to support President Muhammadu Buhari and to encourage him to continue in office as President beyond 2019, as well as to receive Obong Nsima Ekere, an indegene of the Senatorial District whose performance has been jnspiring and blessing to the entire senatorial district as the Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Akwa Ibomites reported that the rally, which was witnessed by one of their reporter, said that, the Senator Akpabio, vehemently refused to use an umbrella in the rain as he firmly flaunted his broom at the event.

Some senior APC Chieftains said the umbrella is considered a symbol of PDP and as such was not used at the APC event.
