Man Embarks On 'R.I.P. APC' Trek From Lagos To Abuja To Protest Buhari's Re-election Bid

Isa Mohammed Munlaila

A Nigerian young man by name Isa Mohammed Munlaila, has embarked on a trek from Lagos to Abuja to express his dissatisfaction with the present administration.

Isa dressed in a black T-Shirt and with a box painted in what seemed like the colours of the All Progressives Congress flag — green, white, blue and red on his head — stated that the walk is also to protest against the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Addressing newsmen on Thursday morning as he prepared to commence his journey, as reported by PM News, Munlaila, who wore dark glasses and carried the box on his head, lamented that there is suffering in the country, and that the present administration has failed in fulfilling its campaign promises.

It could be recalled that this would not be the first time a Nigerian is embarking on a long-distance trek for political reasons.

Recall in April 2015, 33-year-old Hashimu Suleiman trekked from Lagos to Abuja to celebrate President Muhammadu Buhari's election victory.

Abubakar Duduwale, a diehard fan of President Buhari, also trekked from Yola to Abuja to witness the presidential inauguration in May 2015 and according to media reports, however, Abubakar is still dealing with a leg injury arising from that trip.
