INEC Set To Use Enhanced Card Reader For The First Time - In Ekiti Gov. Election

The Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmoud Yakubu has disclosed that Enhanced Card Reader will be used for the first time in Ekiti election.

The INEC Boss revealed this at a consultative meeting with media Managers in Abuja.

Professor Yakubu said there was no difficulty in the terrain in Ekiti and assured of a free and fair poll in the state.

The Chairman, however, called on the media to cooperate with the commission to ensure the success of the forthcoming Ekiti Governorship election on the 14th of this month.

Professor Yakubu stated that INEC is not a political party and will continue to maintain its integrity as election managers; unbiased.

He further urged the media to help mobilize Nigerians to participate more in the ongoing Voter registration exercise.
