Senator Ike Ekweremadu |
Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Nigeria Deputy Senate President, who was under interrogation by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Abuja Tuesday has been given bail.
According to THISDAY, the deputy Senate president, who reported at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja by himself, earlier on Tuesday, was released on administrative bail Tuesday evening after being interrogated by the operatives over allegations bordering on fraud and money laundering.
It was reported also that, the EFCC had last Tuesday invited Ekweremadu to its office in Abuja to respond to allegations of conspiracy, abuse of office and money laundering.
