Nigerian female politician vying for Edo House of Assembly; convicted for trafficking women for prostitution in the UK

The news of a Nigerian Woman politician arrested and convicted in the UK for trafficking in women used for prostitution was alleged to vying for the Edo State House of Assembly.

The woman identified as Josephine Iyamu was sentenced to Jail after she was found guilty of trafficking young girls from Benin to Germany as s*x slaves, called the 'modern slavery offences' where she forces the trafficked women to swear oaths to hand over money to her during "juju" (voodoo) initiations.

According to Twitter tweet, the investigation and subsequent conviction of Josephine Iyamu was done in close partnership with @naptipnigeria.
