VP Osinbajo, Ortom, Amaechi & Onyeama Present At The Burial Of Catholic Priests And Others In Benue - Osinbajo, Amaechi Weeps

Rev. Fr Joseph Gor and Rev. Fr Felix Tyolaha and 17 parishioners who were killed in an dastardly attack at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Ukpor-Mbalom, Gwer East LGA of Benue State by suspected herdsmen were buried Tuesday amid weeping and tears.

Pastor Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom, the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama attended the burial.

According to reports, the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi could not hold back their tears during the mass burial.

VP Osinbajo dressed in black kaftan, tried to fight back emotion during his speech, consoled with  the people of the state over the unfortunate incident.
Professor Osinbajo sympathised with the state governor, Samuel Ortom and the people of the state over the sad and unfortunate incident, and assured them of the federal government efforts to put an end to the killings. 

He also prayed God to give the bereaved families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, on his part broke down in tears as he sighted the caskets being lowered into the graves.
The Minister was seen repeatedly using a handkerchief to dab his tears.

It is really sad. May their gentle souls rest in peace.
