Fayemi Meets Bola Tinubu And Bisi Akande - Over Ekiti 2018 Governorship Race

The All Progressive Congress Governorship candidate for Ekiti state in the forth coming election, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has began to intensify preparations ahead of the July elections.

The former Governor of the state and current minister of steel and mineral resources is set to lock horns with the People’s Democratic party candidate, Prof Kolapo Olusola, who is also the anointed candidate by the incumbent Governor, Ayodele Fayose.

It could be recalled that the first APC primary was characterized with violence and inconclusive. However a rescheduled primary saw Fayemi receiving the mandate.

In pursuit of the mandate and as part of the numerous strategic meetings, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Bisi Akande and other APC Stalwarts were spotted recently in a meeting with Dr Fayemi. This points to the fact that Tinubu has put his differences with Fayemi aside, who is believed to have insulted the APC National leader on several occasions.

July 14 elections would definitely be a trio battle between “federal might” on one side, “local might” on another side  and the will of the people on the other side.

Whatever be the case, a true and fair election is what we want in Ekiti State. A true reflection of the will of the people of the state.
