See Charms Recovered From Thugs Who Invaded The National Assembly
The suspects who were arrested for invading the National Assembly and stealing the Senate mace at Wednesday's plenary, were found with assorted charms upon search of their person. A senior police officer confirmed this to TVC News with pictures as evidence of the charms.
He said the suspects would soon be charged to court after investigation.
As earlier reported, the stolen Senate Mace has been recovered by the police at a flyover before the Abuja city gate. ASP Aremu Adeniran, Deputy Force Public Relations Officer Force Headquarters, said a “patriotic passerby” saw the mace and alerted the police.

After the incident and the ensuing uproar, the senator was taken into police custody but was later released.
