Governor Yahaya Bello Spotted On Crutches At The Presidential Villa
Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi state, yesterday arrived the state house in Abuja on crutches for the closed door meeting of the APC governors with President Buhari.
According to media reports, the governor was involved in an accident few days ago when he was trying to alight from a vehicle. A statement from the Kogi State Government House, Lokoja affirmed that the governor fell off while alighting from his official car last Friday and injured his left foot.
Governor Bello was among the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) governors that held meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari. Media reports also have it that some governors of the ruling party are not happy that Buhari opted out of the plan to elongate Oyegun’s tenure.

It could be recalled that Gov. Bello was the one who addressed the press disclosing the extension of Oyegun’s tenure at the end of the national executive committee (NEC) meeting of the party in February.
Though there were strong opposition to the NEC decision, with some regarding it as unconstitutional, but Bello had said governors of the party had confidence in Oyegun.
However the tenure extension is still causing ripples within the ruling party.
We wish him a quick recovery!
