Soldier Who Died In Accident With Ebony Reigns Will Be Punished For 40 Days

News going rounds in the social media reveals that the soldier who died in the accident with Ebony Reigns will be punished by the Ghana Armed Forces as he had violated the rules of the army by lying that he was sick and also for wearing a uniform for an illegal duty.

According to yen.com.gh, the  soldier is an Air-force Lance Corporal and the reports further revealed that, the soldier will go through orderly trial and be sentenced to 40 days in the military guardroom for lying and also wearing a military uniform on an illegal duty. The report has it that the soldier officially applied for a sick leave before embarking on that fateful journey.

According to the report; what this  implies is that the body of the deceased soldier will be detained for 40 days before being released  to his family. Also, the bereaved family could be denied his benefits.– yen.com.gh added.
This case has brought some awareness to the members of the public that  in the military even in death, you could be punished if you go against the rules.

It could be recalled that Ebony and 2 others died in a fatal accident after their driver in an attempt to dodge a heap of sand on the road crashed into a VIP bus. The driver was said to be the only one who survived that accident.

The tragedy happened when Ebony was returning to Accra after she went to visit her mother in Kumasi. News of her death is still shocking to majority of Ghanaians.

On February 16th, Ebony would have turned 21, but unfortunately she couldn’t live to celebrate her 21st birthday.
