Kogi Surrender Over 15,000 Hectares Of Land To FG For Cattle Colony.

Governor, Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has surrendered about 15,000 hectares of land on Friday to the Federal Government to implement the cattle colony policy according to a report by the Tribune. The Governor made this disclosure during a visit to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. He added that this gesture will tend to end the incessant clashes between herdsmen and farmers in the region.



The Governor in an official letter submitting the 15,000 hectares of land to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, stated that 5,000 hectares of land is set aside in Adavi local government, while the remaining 10,000 will be located in Ajaokuta local government of the State.
