There has been uproar online after Oba Taofeek Oyeyinka Ayinde Fatusi Obawole, the Onifako of Ifako Kingdom in Lagos State - installed a young man as an Oba during his recent visit to Dallas, Texas in the United States. One Facebook user Tunde Alabi-Hundeyin Dudu, who bursted in outrage stated that the installation of the new Oba is a "tragic bastardization of Yoruba ancient culture and tradition" which poses a danger to the Yoruba civilization.
