The Minister for Armed Forces of the United kingdom, Mark Lancaster has paid a visit to the theater command in Maimalari Barracks Maiduguri. The visit is aim at strengthening working relationship between Nigeria and United kingdom.
The Minister said the visit is a testimony to strong defence relationship between the two countries.
He added that the UK would continue to support and cooperate with Nigeria to fight international terrorism. According to him Nigeria is a key partner of UK in West Africa.

He said the visit would facilitate discussion on how the two countries could continue to work together to meet the complex challenges facing them.
The Chief of Army Staff Lt.Gen. Tukur Buratai who received the Minister said the visit was commendable as cooperation between Nigeria, UK and the international Community has contributed significantly in the fight against terrorism.
He called for further collaboration between Nigeria and the UK in the areas of training and intelligence gathering to ensure successful campaign against terrorism.
