Almost a year after Alexis Bledel returned to TV as the brainy, wide-eyed Rory Gilmore, she's won her first Emmy award for her performance as Ofglen (and later, Ofsteven) in Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale.
And because Lauren Graham is the best Gilmore Girls mom — both on and off screen —she quickly tweeted her congrats, saying "THIS IS SO AWESOME. Congratulations and love!"
Bledel won the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series award for her emotional portrayal as a handmaid and "gender traitor," beating out Shannon Purser who plays Barb on Stranger Things and Laverne Cox from Orange is the New Black. (Also, don't watch this clip if you don't like spoilers.)
It's already been reported that Bledel will return for the second season of TheHandmaid's Tale, but what are the chances Lorelai Gilmore will show up in Gilead too? OK, probably slim to none, but here's hoping Logan Huntzberger guest stars as an Eye at some point.
