The incumbent governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose
has been appointed as the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors
Forum as reported by The Punch.
Mr Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State made the announcement of
Fasoye's appointment in Abuja yesterday-- Thursday 19 January, late in the
evening.
Fayose who succeeded the outgoing chairman of the PDP govs
forum, the former Governor of Ondo State , Dr . Olusegun Mimiko is now
charged with the responsibility of stepping in as the new chairman.
Fayose's appointment was made in a meeting which was held at his
Abuja residence with some imminent leaders of the in attendance. Some of the
attendants were the like of its Board of Trustees Chairman, Senator Walid
Jibrin and the Chairman of its National Caretaker Committee, Senator Ahmed
Makarfi.
Fayoye's appointment could be an epoch making, mark a new era
for the party and speed up its revival as 2019 is fast approaching, considering
his commitment and loyalty to the party over the years.
