I Was Wrong: GEJ was a very good Leader: OBJ lavishes praise on Jonathan

Obviously, Nigerian Former presidents, Goodluck Jonathan and Olusegun Obasanjo have now put behind them the political unfriendliness and animosity that existed between the two prior to the 2015 presidential election.
Jonathan loyally visited   Obasanjo on Friday at his home in Ota, Ogun State, where the latter heartily received the former.

According to The Vanguard, Obasanjo couldn't help lavishing praise and commendation on Jonathan openly for his humility and service to the country, as the both former presidents exchanged pleasantry.

Jonathan who paid the visit in the companies of his former Minister of Special Duties, Kabiru Turaki  and other close associates had a confidential meeting with Obasanjo for over two hours.

When the meeting was over, Obasanjo willingly briefed the press. However, Jonathan was quite hesitant, saying that the meeting was confidential.

Obasanjo use the medium to urge leaders all over the world to emulate them and lead by example.

According to the former president “I believe that the world will continue to tap into our experiences, and our wisdom.
“I expect a call will be made on you soon to put your experience and lessons you learned for the service of this country.

“I have said to you (Jonathan) before that there are plenty of opportunities out there, within the country and the world.
“This is coming a time when people will want you to make contributions.

“I believe that you (Jonathan) are resting now and when you have fully rested, you will be hearing from me.
“This is because I have this opportunity to be around the world and I will mention your name in dispatch.

“Since you (Jonathan) left office, you hardly have time to sit down and relax like you have been able to do today.
“I sincerely hope and pray for more of such relaxed situation where we can reminiscence situations of the past.
“When leaders come, they have little or no experience.

“When they have to go is when they have a lot of experience; where they have wisdom.
“For people like you and me who have the grace of God to bow out gracefully, if there is no more constitutional office, we have residual responsibilities to Nigeria.”

“God has created it (Nigeria) to be and God did not make a mistake when he put all of us together.
“If he doesn’t want us to be together, no power in the world would have made us come together.”
