Nollywood Is Nigeria’s Greatest Export: Jonathan
President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday described Nigeria’s actors and actresses as the greatest ambassadors of the country.
He said players in the movie industry that is popularly known as Nollywood has consistently been bringing glory to the country.
According to Punch, Jonathan said this while playing host to a group, Legends of Nollywood, led by Mr. Paul Obazele, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He said the glory being brought to the country through soccer had been on and off, the Nollywood stars were doing the country proud every time.
He said he remained committed to giving government support to the movie industry.
The Nollywood stars under the aegis of Nigeria’s Creative Professionals paid a visit to President Jonathan at the State House, on December 12, 2014.
However, it would be recalled that in February, 2014 the Actors Guild of Nigeria made the President their grand patron.
