Funmilayo Omikunle has shared an intimate account of her life, offering insight into the experiences that shaped her views on success, family, and relationships. Her story reflects a journey marked by determination, early struggles, and personal sacrifices that ultimately defined her path.

Describing her mindset, the actress made it clear that hard work has always been central to her life. She explained, “I love to work and make money and it doesn’t affect my marriage. 

I was selling kerosene in seven places, ask anybody in Oworonshoki.” Her recollection points to a time when she was actively involved in multiple small businesses, building income streams through persistence and grit.

Her commitment to securing a better future for her child led to one of the most significant decisions she has ever made. In her words, “I sold my house to send my child abroad, I like good things in my life.” That decision, though difficult, reflects the importance she places on opportunity and long-term investment in family.

Speaking on relationships, Omikunle drew from the values she grew up with. She recalled, “My mother never believed a woman should leave her husband house.” This belief shaped her understanding of commitment, but she was also realistic about the imperfections that exist within marriages. According to her, “Marriage cannot be 100% pure, it will have its own but… except violence is involved.”

She did not shy away from addressing sensitive issues, particularly infidelity. Offering a firm stance, she said, “If you keep cheating on your partner, when it gets to a level you won’t be able to do anything again.” Her words suggest that while patience may exist, there are limits that, once crossed, can lead to irreversible consequences.

Beyond her personal life, Omikunle reflected on her consistency in the entertainment industry. She shared, “I have been putting movies on YouTube since 2008,” showing that her presence in the digital space has been long-standing and intentional.

Family remains an important part of her identity. She spoke with pride about her mother, saying, “My mother that’s close to 100 years old is still in my father’s house.” This statement reinforces the traditional values she was raised with and continues to carry.

Her journey has not been without pain. Losing her husband at a young age forced her to navigate life independently much earlier than expected. Despite that, she achieved remarkable milestones at a young age. She revealed, “I was young when my husband died and I bought my car when I was 24 years old and I built my first house at 28 years old.”
