Popular Yoruba blogger, Yeye Kudi Court, has publicly called out Nollywood actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo over allegations of mistreatment involving his estranged wife, Iyana Aduke, and their autistic child. Her comments have reignited conversations around the actor’s troubled marriage, which has remained under public scrutiny for months.
The controversy resurfaced days after Iyana Aduke trended online following reports that her well-known eatery in Yaba, Lagos, was sealed by armed security operatives over an alleged unpaid bank loan. According to circulating reports, the property housing the eatery was used as collateral to secure a loan, which was reportedly not repaid as agreed. The incident drew sympathy online, with many questioning how matters escalated to such a dramatic closure.
Reacting to the development, Yeye Kudi Court alleged that Femi Adebayo was contacted during the incident and reportedly claimed ownership of the bank involved. She further alleged that both the eatery and the residential property linked to Iyana Aduke were used as collateral for the same loan. While these claims remain unverified, they have fueled intense debate across social media platforms.
Beyond the financial dispute, the blogger raised more serious concerns about what she described as the actor’s treatment of his estranged wife and their autistic child. Yeye Kudi Court alleged that Iyana Aduke was asked to vacate both her home and business premises without prior notice, even while customers were reportedly inside the eatery eating.
She questioned why, despite reports that Iyana Aduke had left the marital home since 2024, Femi Adebayo has continued to openly showcase his other children on social media, including those he reportedly sends abroad for schooling, while allegedly failing to extend the same care, attention, and opportunities to their autistic child.
The blogger’s comments have stirred emotional reactions, with many social media users calling for empathy and fairness, particularly where a child with special needs is concerned.
The couple’s marital issues have played out publicly over time. Last year, Iyana Aduke had hinted at a possible reconciliation when she shared a throwback video of herself, Femi Adebayo, and their daughter spending quality family time together. She also posted another video showing herself and the actor in bed, playfully teasing each other, which many interpreted as a sign that their relationship was improving.
However, tensions resurfaced when Iyana Aduke publicly accused Femi Adebayo’s colleague, Olatoun Olanrewaju, of being responsible for the breakdown of her marriage. She alleged that Olatoun betrayed her trust and played a role in destroying her home, expressing deep pain over the situation.
In response, Olatoun denied the allegations, insisting she was not responsible for Iyana Aduke’s marital issues. She stated that Aduke “created every bit of the situation herself” and challenged her accuser to provide proof. Olatoun added that she was willing to accept responsibility if found guilty of any wrongdoing.
Earlier in June, Iyana Aduke had also hinted at marital troubles when she appeared to take subtle shots at the filmmaker. In one post, she suggested that if she had any power, spell, or magic to make a man love her at the beginning of a relationship, Femi Adebayo would never have made her list, a statement many interpreted as an admission of deep disappointment.
Further fueling speculation, observers noticed that the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram, a move often seen as confirmation of irreconcilable differences in celebrity relationships.
Their separation came as a shock to many fans, especially considering their once-public display of affection. Early last year, Iyana Aduke had surprised Femi Adebayo in grand fashion on his birthday by inviting a musical artiste to serenade him during a private dinner at their home. Videos from the celebration showed the couple appearing happy and deeply connected.
In 2023, the actor and his wife celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary with a joyful video of them dancing while Femi sprayed her with naira notes. At the time, Adebayo described their journey as one that began with shared dreams and plans for the future, praising his wife as “the most amazing woman any man could desire.”
As allegations and counterclaims continue to swirl, neither Femi Adebayo nor Iyana Aduke has issued an official statement addressing Yeye Kudi Court’s recent accusations. For now, the situation remains a deeply personal matter unfolding under the unforgiving glare of public attention.
