Actress Wumi Toriola appears to be making peace after publicly calling out her senior colleague, Afeez Owo, who is married to actress Mide Martins.
In a recent interview, Afeez had spoken about Wumi’s personality, stating that she only reacts when provoked. According to him, “if people don’t look for Wumi’s trouble, she wouldn’t react, but she does not take nonsense.”
His remarks, however, didn’t sit well with Wumi. She fired back, questioning why he would make such a statement and sarcastically asked if she should “rent a husband to hold the mic and spoil things.” She further reminded him of his seniority, urging him to avoid unnecessary drama. Despite her outburst, Toriola admitted that she still respects him.
Following the heavy backlash from fans and colleagues, Wumi seems to be softening her stance. Sharing a video of herself on a plane, she described her look as “the face of a repentant child.”
She added: “It is still all love. Thank you all for the backlash. Omo ta ba fe lan bawi.”
