Here are 11 legendary actors whose children are now making their mark in Nollywood.

1. Sunday Omobolanle (Papi Luwe) and Sunkanmi Omobolanle

Sunday Omobolanle, famously known as Papi Luwe, has been a beloved figure in Yoruba cinema for decades. Renowned for his comedic timing and ability to blend humor into every scene, he has earned the admiration of audiences nationwide.

His son, Sunkanmi Omobolanle, grew up visiting film sets and watching his father work, which ignited his passion for acting. Sunkanmi has since appeared in numerous films and television series, taking on both comedic and dramatic roles. While he benefits from his father’s mentorship, he has worked diligently to establish his own unique identity in Nollywood.

2. Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello) and His Sons

Adebayo Salami, also known as Oga Bello, is a veteran of Yoruba cinema whose career has spanned over five decades. His sons, Femi Adebayo and Tope Adebayo, have followed in his footsteps.

Oga Bello began acting in the 1960s with the Young Concert Party, and over the years, he has become known for portraying kings, wealthy businessmen, and community leaders. His sons have embraced the craft, citing their father’s dedication and discipline as inspiration. 3. Adeyemi Afolayan (Ade Love) and His Children

Kunle Afolayan has become a critically acclaimed actor, director, and producer, with award-winning films like The Figurine, October 1, and Citation. 4. Pete Edochie and Yul Edochie

Veteran actor Jide Kosoko has appeared in hundreds of films over a career spanning more than forty years. His daughters, Shola Kosoko and Bidemi Kosoko, have both entered the acting world.

Shola began acting at a young age and has featured in Yoruba and English language productions, also venturing into film production.
