Award-winning Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, one half of the legendary P-Square duo, has fired back at a troll who advised him to swallow his pride and reconcile with his twin brother, Paul Okoye, for the sake of money and music.

The troll, who dropped his comments on X (formerly Twitter), questioned why Peter couldn’t “kill the pride, make peace” with Paul and focus on cashing out as P-Square again. He compared their rift to the political reconciliation between Nyesom Wike and Governor Sim Fubara, urging Peter to follow that example.

In his words:

“Why can’t you just kill the pride, make peace with your brothers and make money.

Be like Wike and Fubara.

Focus on the money, not your feelings.

We miss Psquare and no other duos like Psquare.

You alone make you look like an upcoming artist, you’re struggling with your music.”

Reacting, Peter Okoye dismissed the troll, sarcastically telling him to cry harder while handing him a bucket.

 “Cry harder! Take this.”

Unfazed, the troll expressed happiness that Peter responded, claiming he once helped make P-Square’s music go global. He lamented that pride and bad advice were destroying the singer’s legacy.

“I’m happy you responded to this.

I can gladly say that I was one of the people who made your music go global with my platform back in the day. So, seeing you sinking while you’re living legends is a pity because of pride and bad advice; they are destroying what you’ve built.”

Peter clapped back again with even more buckets, mocking the critic further.

This exchange comes months after Peter publicly declared that “there is no more P-Square.” On his X page, he said he is now his own “Square,” while his elder brother Jude and Paul should be regarded as the “new P-Square.”

He also dropped a cryptic message about toxic family ties, saying:

“Don’t allow family to be the reason why you’re drowning in silence. I did for over 20 years and it cost me everything. Love doesn’t manipulate, loyalty doesn’t betray, and family doesn’t steal from you.”

The P-Square saga continues to stir conversations online, as fans remain divided over whether the Okoye brothers will ever reunite or if Peter will keep pushing his solo career independently.
