“A Piece of Glass Stayed in My Head for 19 Years” — Emeka Rollas Opens Up

President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, has revealed that a shard of glass remained stuck in his scalp for 19 years following a helicopter crash he survived in 2006.

Rollas opened up about the long-term injury while speaking during the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPDD), led by Pastor Jerry Eze. He described the incident as nothing short of a miracle.

According to him, after receiving treatment for the crash nearly two decades ago, doctors were unable to remove all the glass fragments from his head. One tiny piece, he said, remained under his scalp and would occasionally cause discomfort.

“I have a piece of glass right inside my scalp here, just on the scalp as a result of an accident, a helicopter accident. After treatment, some pieces of glass were left within the scalp, and over time, it will react and then go back again,” Rollas explained.

He admitted that, although medical professionals had advised him to undergo a minor procedure to remove the glass, he repeatedly chose not to, due to fear.

“Sometimes I’ll be advised to go for a minor surgery to get it removed. But because I’ve had about four surgeries on health issues, I usually get scared,” he said.

Instead, the 51-year-old began praying during NSPPD sessions, particularly during communion, where Pastor Jerry would declare healing over anything in the body not of God.

“So each time, Pastor Jerry will say, this communion is for anything that is not of God, that is inside you, should be flushed out. I key into that particular statement during the communion,” he said.

Rollas shared that some weeks ago, he noticed a swelling on one side of his head. Though a doctor believed it was just a boil, he insisted it felt different, suspecting the glass was surfacing.

“Sometime last month, I began to feel a bulge just by that side of my scalp. After some days, I started noticing a very sharp opening, like I would feel a piece of glass. I started telling myself, it’s like this glass wants to come out,” he said.

The situation took a surprising turn while he was at home eating with his child.

“And then I came home one evening, I was just about to take dinner with one of my kids, and I rubbed my head, and all of a sudden, the piece of glass just fell off and fell on the dining table. And this is here, so tiny glass, but it has been here for 19 good years.”

Rollas expressed deep gratitude for what he described as divine healing.

“I want to thank the Lord for this miracle. I want to thank Pastor Jerry, let the oil on your head never run dry.”
