Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has claimed he walked away with a whopping ₦70 million from his headline-making boxing match against Speed Darlington.
The match, which took place on April 18, ended in a technical knockout victory for Portable and generated massive buzz online, largely due to the tension and trash talk that led up to the event.
In a recent interview posted on X, Portable revealed that he was paid ₦30 million just to agree to participate in the fight. He added that winning the match earned him an additional ₦20 million from the organizers.
He went on to say that after the fight, Burna Boy sent him a personal gift of ₦20 million, bringing his total earnings to ₦70 million.
“Dem first give me ₦30M make I accept say I go fight. Dem come say, if I win, ₦20M, that’s ₦50M. Na him uncle Burna, after I fight, I beat am [Speed Darlington], I even wound am, send ₦20 million. I use him make ₦70 million around 3 days,” Portable said.
The statement has sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many fans reacting to the huge amount the singer claimed to have made in such a short period.
